Bio

Lisa-Skye Ioannidis is a Melbourne-based editor, writer and comedian. She writes short stories, personal narrative, creative non fiction and scripts (including a hilarious sitcom with Nicolas Rasche).

She has been published in Frankie, Verndah, Catalyst and Crossfire.

She did a successful season for the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival with The 'G' in Goth, the C@#t in Homewares, a double-bill performance with Megan Petrie.

She has performed in a few spoken word events, including True Teen Confessions (2006), Words on Tap (2007), as well as performing in and co-organising three Midsumma shows, two of which sold out: Come As You Are (2007), Come as You Are II: Come Harder (2008) and Femme Fever II (2008). She has organised an event for Midsumma 2009, Mummy Dearest.

In her professional life she fled academia to be an editor for the Who's Who of Australia. She is currently looking for full time work while she balances her show pony commitments.

Also, she was runner up for the CAE language poetry prize, for a poem she wrote in Mandarin. Sadly, she sucks at writing poems in English. Read more!
